DNSSEC - domain configuration

Written by Spoofy Published on: . Posted in News . Hits: 1012

Dear users,

Yesterday during evening hours we got an information about problems with connection with wazznet.com domain. We detected the defect connected with domain configuration. Due to the coflictual error of DNSSEC keys, wazznet.com and wazznet.pl domains were updated. Temporarily DS records were turned off - thereby DNSSEC protection was also temporarily turned off.

As we know *domain cpfiguraion propagation lasts around 24 hours. During that time users with not updated records may have some problems with connection. We recommend temporarily change the DNS server configuration for a google servers (addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or **openDNS because alll configuration records on those DNSes are up to date.

We are sorry for the inconvinience. Before Christmas we will try to turn on the DNSSEC protection with use of new keys. We will inform you about work progress. In case of any questions contact us in the appropriate forum section, please.

Your sincerely,
Wazznet Administration

* Name server changes usually take 24 to 48 hours to fully start working. This period, called propagation, is the projected length of time it takes for root name servers and cache records across the entire web to be updated with  website's DNS information. Because of propagation, not all visitors will be directed to new name servers; some visitors will continue to be directed to  old name servers until propagation is complete.

** is a company and service which extends the Domain Name System (DNS) by adding features such as phishing protection and optional content filtering to traditional recursive DNS services.
